At Booking.com our utmost concern is for the safety and security of customers, partners and colleagues. We are closely monitoring the current COVID-19 situation, including announcements and instructions from the WHO and relevant local authorities so that we can make the right decisions and support those that are impacted.
In light of the recent developments around COVID-19 and taking into account the above, I am reaching out to notify you that from 28 April 2020, we will be terminating the Refer a Property programme - therefore, exercising our right to terminate the addendum to the affiliate agreement, clause 3.2. As a result, we will not be compensating affiliate partners any longer for any properties that are referred and driven to Booking.com from that day onwards.
Why are we terminating the programme? Given the uncertainty we all find ourselves in given the outbreak of COVID-19 and amidst global travel uncertainty in a rapidly evolving environment with a lot of unpredictability, Booking.com is making responsible adjustments to its supply incentive programmes in order to better reflect current demand. We understand that this might be disappointing to some and we’d like to assure you that we have not taken this decision lightly.
What does this mean for compensation? We can confirm that all properties referred until 28 April 2020 will be compensated following the terms and conditions.
